Relationship between Clawson & Staubes and Clawson & Staubes: Injury Group. Clawson & Staubes law firm is comprised of Clawson & Staubes, LLC and Clawson & Staubes, PLLC. Clawson & Staubes: Injury Group is a practice group comprised of attorneys employed by Clawson & Staubes that provides representation to claimants and plaintiffs in personal injury matters. Matters pending in South Carolina will be handled by the firm’s South Carolina licensed attorneys. Matters pending in North Carolina will be handled by the firm’s North Carolina licensed attorneys.
Conflicts of Interest. Clawson & Staubes represents both plaintiffs and defendants. Clawson & Staubes also has ongoing business relationships with a number of insurance companies. Before undertaking representation of a plaintiff, the firm conducts a conflict-of-interest review to determine whether the case involves a conflict with any of the firm’s clients, including insurance companies represented by the firm. Pursuant to rules of ethics governing attorneys, the firm does not accept representation of a case on behalf of a plaintiff that is adverse to one of the firm’s clients. If a conflict of interest develops or is discovered by Clawson & Staubes after undertaking representation, the firm will withdraw from the representation pursuant to the terms of its engagement agreement. The firm’s engagement agreement with the client governs other aspects of the firm’s representation including legal fees, which are normally on a contingency fee basis, expenses, and association of other counsel.
