Far East Brokers issues recall on children’s chairs and swings
About 6,000 Leisure Ways® pink butterfly-themed children’s camp chairs, moon chairs, and swings have been recalled due to excessive levels of lead, which is a violation of the federal lead paint standard. The products are being sold at Weis Markets, wholesale distributors, grocery stores, and drug stores nationwide from January 2016 through April 2016.
Lead is a highly toxic metal and a very strong poison. Even small amounts of lead can cause serious health problems. Children under 6 years of age are easily vulnerable to lead poisoning. It can severely impact mental and physical development. Lead-based paint and lead-contaminated dust are the most common sources of lead poisoning in children.
If you have purchased any products with high lead content, you should immediately stop using them. If you or your child were made ill as a result of using lead products, an attorney from the Clawson and Staubes, LLC: Injury Group in Charleston can help you hold negligent parties responsible.
