A truck accident on Glenn McConnell Boulevard and Mary Ader Avenue sent two people to the hospital Monday morning.
Charleston patrol officers were dispatched at approximately 8:43 a.m. following a call reporting an incident. The report indicated that the accident involved a flatbed, but it was not stated whether or not it involved another vehicle.
One person was rushed to St. Francis Hospital while the other was taken to Medical University of South Carolina with unknown injuries. Their condition was not released.
Authorities withheld the identification of the victims pending notification of their families.

According to initial reports, the accident, which involved a flatbed truck, took place Monday at around 8:43 a.m. Police immediately responded to the intersection after receiving a report of an overturned flatbed.
How the accident actually occurred is yet to be discovered, but it was determined that at least two parties sustained injuries. One victim was transported to St. Francis Hospital for treatment while another was rushed to Medical University of South Carolina. The extent of their injuries is has not been released.
Local investigators were called onto the scene to determine the cause of the crash.

A fatal collision between an SUV and tanker truck occurred in Colleton County on September 29th.
A 911 call was placed at 9:22 a.m. reporting that an SUV that was southbound collided with a tanker truck and then hit several trees. The crashes took place on Interstate 95 near the 41 mile marker southbound. The first responders discovered a man on the ground who died from multiple traumatic injuries.
“The entire left side of the vehicle was ripped from the chassis, ejecting the male driver who had been wearing a seatbelt,” CCFR officials said. “A female passenger was also in the car, but received minor injuries….The truck driver was not injured and his tanker trailer was empty.”
The female passenger was brought by Fire-Rescue Medic 13 to Colleton Medical Center. The crash is under investigation.
